Protected Geographical Indication Crete
Grape varieties: Kotsifali, Mandilari
Region: Sloping vineyards from semi–mountainous areas of Heraklion, Crete.
Terroir: Altitude of 400 meters. Cool winds and low humidity during the night.
Oenology: Separate vinification of the two varieties at controlled temperatures of 18o-22oC after the addition of selected yeasts. Skin contact for 6–7 days.
Personality: Vivid ruby colour with an attractive fresh nose of ripe red fruits, spices and earthy aromas. Round, balanced taste on the palate, with a long finish.
